Other than the fact that Project 2003 (plus all other Office 2003 apps) are past main stream support, and therefore pose a risk for anyone still using them, here are some top level reasons to upgrade to Project 2010:
- Multi-level undo. This is the most requested Project feature for the last ten years, and we now have it
- Visual reports: One click report creation from Project into Excel or Visio
- New user interface: ribbon interface in Project enhances ease of use
- Works like Excel: type any data you want anywhere you want, sort, filter, add new column – it just works the way you expect
- Manual tasks: turn off the scheduling engine for one or many tasks and plan the way you want
- Team planner view (Project Professional only): visual drag-and-drop interface to manage your people and their work
- SharePoint 2010 task list synchronization (Project Professional only): send project information to SharePoint with one click; pull updated information from SharePoint back into Project the same way
